Clinicians

Thomas K. Perdue, Psy.D. LP

Tom graduated with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2017. He completed his internship and post-doctoral training at The Guidance Center in Leavenworth, KS. Tom specializes in child and adolescent development, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. He practiced as a clinical psychologist for The Guidance Center from 2016-2021. He has offered professional training since 2020. Tom's professional interests include therapy for children, teens, and families that have concerns with behavior, mood, and family conflict. He also sees adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Tom enjoys spending his free time watching movies, watching sports, and spending time with friends.

Julia Stegeman, LSCSW, LCSW, LMAC, CCFP

Julia has been practicing as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) since 2017. Julia received her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) in 2013. Julia has been a Licensed Master's Addiction Counselor (LMAC) since 2013.  Julia has been a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional since 2021.

Julia offers counseling for first responders, healthcare professionals, teachers, and caregivers, struggling with compassion fatigue. Julia completed Basic Peer Support Training (40 hours) through FRST Midwest in June 2022. Julia is an approved clinician resource with FRST Midwest.

Julia has co-owned this private practice since May 2020. Julia enjoys spending her free time walking her dog, watching Netflix, spending time with family, and doing arts and crafts.

Matthew Long, Therapy Practicum Student

Matthew is a doctoral candidate for clinical psychology (Psy.D.) who is attending graduate school locally at Kansas City University, and is expected to graduate in 2027. Matthew is exploring professional interests by assisting and conducting research on self-efficacy of graduate students and Imposter Syndrome at his university. Matthew completed his diagnostic assessment training at Clinical Associates PA in Olathe, KS 2023. He has experience conducting psychological assessments with children and adult populations, testing for cognitive functioning. Other professional interests including working with older children, teens, and adults who are seeking help with anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and depression. Matthew enjoys spending his free time reading, writing, running, watching movies, and playing/developing video games.
